Two Strikes, One Instant

The karate practitioners meet with kicks that draw diagonals through space. The technique of the combat remains visible in every detail. Two kicks cross in midair, but the scene is also about distance: close enough to attack without being too close to defend. The strike draws attention, but control comes first: knowing when to advance, defend, or change direction is part of combat. Every action opens a possibility for a response. Attacking therefore also means accepting risk.
